Objectives

We want to establish a long-term partnership between our four partners. Our goals are to share knowledge and teaching methods about Europe among our staff in trilateral activities to foster competence in European education, intercultural learning and active citizenship, and reduce reservations among staff to include European topics in their lessons. We aim to promote European citizenship among students with this knowledge and create an open-source portfolio of methods used in the project.

Activities

We will implement virtual and in-person meetings for the staff of all four organisations involved, and an implementation phase for the methods and concepts we discuss among the project partners including a feedback session for students. Most importantly, we aim for each partner to host a study visit for the other groups (including a small number of students) to work on our project results, as well as a teacher seminar to disseminate our findings and critically discuss them with colleagues.

Impact

As a result of the project, we want to establish a long-term partnership between the staff of Evau Siegen, Collège Jacques Monod, European School Copenhagen and IFBL. We want to sensitize our students to their European citizenship by enhancing intercultural competence and raising EU awareness among students, while improving our own teaching methods on Europe, sharing knowledge between partners and writing an open-source educational portfolio for broader dissemination.
