โ–ถObjectives

With Green Horizons, we want to expand the range of nature conservation projects in the field of international volunteering and strengthen the positive ecological handprint of the commitment of young volunteers.Partnerships with nature conservation bodies will be expanded and volunteers and staff will be trained and supported. In this way, the project will contribute to the further development of the organizations involved and will turn young people into agents of change towards a green Europe.

โ–ถActivities

New partnerships with nature conservation organizations are being established through conferences, job shadowing days and a digital booklet. Group leaders of nature conservation camps are trained and educated in international and national training courses and an e-learning module. Internship offers with matching courses of study are developed.Training courses and a digital toolbox on environmental education are supporting a pool of volunteers who bring ecological impulses into all camps.

โ–ถImpact

New collaborations will create a wider range of practical nature conservation projects that offer added value to both young volunteers and nature conservation organizations. The further developed qualification offer for volunteers and staff strengthens ecological (responsibility) awareness and environmental education skills. In this way, sustainable behavior and organizational development can be promoted in the long term. Green Horizons can thus turn young volunteers into agents of change.
