Objectives

Fit2Commit aims to unlock the potential of youth volunteering for social inclusion. Empowered young people gain tools for social engagement. The local youth work sector enhances methodologies, making exclusion visible. Pilot participants see reduced exclusion and better understand other groups. Partner organizations advance their development and strengthen European connections. Together, these efforts create a sound basis for more inclusive, empathetic, and socially aware communities.

Activities

Fit2Commit implements activites in two directions: firstly, a participatory, youth-led process with research, workshops and trial activities sets the basis to create an interactive Grassroute Peer2Peer Guide for young adults, secondly, youth workers from the partner organisations are sharing and further developing good practises/methodologies for the promotion of youth volunteering with adolecents documented in a new manual. The results of both processes are promoted during trainings and events.

Impact

Two tangible, multi-language outputs of Fit2Commit are a youth-oriented and -created "Grassroute Peer2Peer Guide for Youth Social Engagement", presenting low-threshold possibilites to engage, and a youth-worker centered "Manual for Youth Work Fighting Social Exclusion by Volunteering", sharing a well-tested set of informal and non-formal learning methodologies for the sector. Through the training and promotion, Fit2Commit additional expects to reach visibility for the need to fight exclusion.
