Healthcare tasks are becoming increasingly complex, requiring 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, digital literacy, and innovation readiness. Despite this, evidence-based practice is not fully utilized due to a lack of innovation and research competencies among professionals. I-RECAP aims to bridge this gap by integrating research and innovation into clinical practice, ensuring higher-quality care and a more sustainable healthcare system across Europe.

The project involves five work packages: WP1: Project management, WP2: European baseline report, WP3: I-RECAP training material development, WP4: Testing, Implementation & Evaluation, WP5: Sustainability & Awareness. Engaging healthcare professionals, the project ensures user-driven innovation, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainability. Activities include developing sustainable training programs, management support, and integrating research into practice and education.
