Objectives

The project aims to develop and implement self-assessment tools to help students and teachers at Tartu Art School and Riga Ballet School evaluate workload and wellbeing, enabling data-driven course redesigns. By integrating mental wellbeing workshops and feedback mechanisms, the project promotes sustainable workload management, reduces stress, and fosters self-directed learning. Long-term objectives include improved teaching practices, enhanced student outcomes, and scalable tools for wider use.

Activities

The project starts with a meeting to give an overview and timeline to all participants. We will develop digital self-assessment tools and feedback surveys. Mental well-being workshops will be held for participating students and teachers. The aforementioned tools will be piloted in selected subjects at both schools, with feedback analysed for refinement. Quarterly reviews and continuous monitoring will ensure improvement, and a final conference will affirm dissemination of the project outcomes.

Impact

The project will develop and pilot self-assessment tools, enabling VET students and teachers to evaluate workload and wellbeing. Mental wellbeing training courses for students and teachers in both partner schools will enhance physical and mental wellbeing, while also offering coping strategies. Collected feedback will guide course redesigns and the results will create a foundation for future scaling and broader implementation in fine arts and performing arts schools and relevant organisations.
