▶Objectives
The project aims to transform the cleaning industry by shifting from activity-based routines to a results-based cleaning, focusing on changing the mindsets of key stakeholders. VET training will play a crucial role in this shift; we will develop tools and share information to support training in cleaning. Our science-based framework will ensure measurable cleaning quality while optimizing resource use for better outcomes and minimal environmental impact.
▶Activities
We will conduct scientific research on cleaning practices, map ESG principles, and run cleaning experiments in three countries to analyse user needs and demonstrate the benefits of results-based cleaning. Findings will be compiled into a report and transformed into practical tools, including educational videos, a podcast series, and a cleaning optimization calculator. Additionally, we will facilitate targeted dissemination for cleaning professionals to promote industry-wide adoption.
▶Impact
Project will produce validated framework for results-based cleaning, supported by ESG principles and real-life testing. Key outcomes include a comprehensive report defining, educational videos, a podcast series, and a cleaning optimization calculator. These tools will help shift industry practices from activity-based to results-based cleaning, fostering a change in mindset that improves efficiency and hygiene, influencing training programs, procurement decisions and professional standards
