โ–ถObjectives

The primary objective is to promote sustainable tourism education among adult learners, especially from marginalized groups. The project aims to equip learners and educators with the necessary knowledge and skills about the tourism sector, contributing to the social and economic inclusion of the learners. This will also include promoting environmental awareness and cultural preservation, supporting trainees to become active agents of sustainable tourism practices.

โ–ถActivities

The project will implement a series of activities, including: (a) the development of a booklet on sustainable tourism, (b) capacity building workshops for educators, (c) technical visits to three Mediterranean islands. These activities will engage adult learners, educators and local stakeholders in practical experiences and knowledge exchange on sustainable tourism and environmental practices. Through multiplier events and dissemination channels the results will be spread among any stakeholder.

โ–ถImpact

Expected results include increased employability for adult learners, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and improved teaching skills in sustainable tourism for teachers. The project will also strengthen partnerships between institutions across Europe, creating a network to continuously promote sustainable tourism education. In addition, trainees will acquire practical skills in ecotourism and resource management, enhancing their opportunities in the tourism industry.
