Guardians of the Coast aims to strengthen civic engagement, environmental advocacy, and public awareness on the protection of public beach access in Greece and Portugal. The project will equip activists, educators, and policymakers with legal knowledge, advocacy tools, and digital campaigning skills. By fostering cross-border collaboration and policy dialogue, the project will contribute to sustainable coastal governance and active citizen participation in environmental decision-making.

The project will include research on coastal governance, study visits and training workshops for activists, and a public advocacy campaign using arts and digital tools. It will engage 40 activists, civil society organizations, policymakers, and cultural institutions in educational activities, community actions, and policy dialogues. The project will also develop an open-access training manual and toolkit to ensure long-term knowledge dissemination.

The project will produce a research report on coastal privatization, a digital advocacy toolkit, and a policy recommendation guide for municipalities. It will reach at least 10,000 people through social media campaigns, artistic events, and public debates. The results will be shared via EPALE, Erasmus+ platforms, and municipal networks, ensuring sustainable impact on civic participation and environmental policy reform.
