Objectives

Our goals are to increase accessibility in the community and give non-formal education, resources, and digital didactic content to educators and local associations that support inclusion and individuals with disabilities. We will support these educators develop their professional skills so they can teach inclusive groups, which include individuals with and without disabilities, in the areas of dance and educational physical activity.

Activities

We are going to deliver 10 inclusive dance techniques workshops for adult learners and teachers in three different partner countries, connect with the local community and organisations that work on an inclusive level, and establish long-term collaborations. In addition, we are going to provide an educational manual with dance exercises that will be available on the created digital platform. Furthermore, academic research on Inclusive dance methodology is going to be implemented in the project.

Impact

Training is a crucial component of this project, for adult learners receiving training on how to create inclusive and accessible dance programs. The result is a better understanding of disability within the dance community and beyond. Scientific research will allow the intervening team a more extensive analysis of the pilot phase of the project, creating the possibility of improving the practice of training over time, and providing a long-term collaboration and knowledge exchange in the future.
