▶Objectives
The aim of the project is to equip students, teachers and professionals in the communication sector with information, advertising and social networks to learn to detect news based on myths or macho hoaxes and to write and disseminate information free of gender stereotypes. With this we want to stop the advance of fake news on this matter in the face of the current discourses of denial or hatred that are trying to regress in the advances of women and girls.
▶Activities
To develop the RETYPE project we have designed the following activities: - Guide to good practices: for communication free of gender stereotypes. - Workshops on strategies to inform without gender stereotypes. - Awareness campaign: creation of original content on the topic at hand to disseminate among professionals in the sector and the European population in general. - Educational dossier. - Multiplier events. - Meeting of partners in Spain.
▶Impact
The expected results after the implementation of the project are as follows: - Train the communication, information, advertising and journalism sector to spread news without gender bias. - Provide tools to professionals in the information sector to detect fake news or news based on obsolete myths. - Involve European citizens in general by criticizing them for news that lacks a gender perspective. - More accurate information.
