RISE strengthens disaster preparedness through adult education, digital learning, and community-led innovation. It equips educators, community leaders, and grassroots organisations with tools to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to crises. By embedding frugal innovation, environmental resilience, and risk mitigation strategies into learning, RISE fosters proactive disaster recovery and long-term community resilience.
▶Activities
RISE delivers structured training and digital innovation across four work packages. WP2 compiles European best practices in disaster recovery. WP3 develops training for 80+ educators and community leaders in disaster preparedness and resilience. WP4 establishes an Innovation Lab to co-design recovery solutions using digital tools and participatory engagement models to ensure sustainable and scalable impact.

RISE will empower 80+ adult educators and community leaders and engage 250+ adult learners in disaster-affected communities. WP2 strengthens knowledge-sharing across Europe, addressing diverse challenges from flooding and earthquakes to post-war recovery. WP3 equips educators and grassroots organisations with practical recovery skills, while WP4’s Innovation Lab inspires scalable community resilience solutions, ensuring sustainable disaster preparedness strategies.
