โถObjectives
Contributing to reducing the release of synthetic microfibres along the textile chain, from design to final disposal by training educators and students; designing innovative educational programmes that promote textile sustainability skills among trainers, students and industry workers; and creating digital, accessible and multilingual resources that facilitate the adoption of sustainable practices in different contexts.
โถActivities
MicroWeave-TEX will implement an innovative training programme to train textile educators in sustainable practices, including hands-on experiments and active methodologies such as Escape Rooms. It will also develop a MOOC for students with interactive materials and podcasts, using platforms such as Moodle and UPVx and tools such as Genially. It also plans to launch public awareness campaigns and international events to disseminate the results of the project.
โถImpact
The project aims at achieving significant results, such as improving the knowledge and skills of students, educators and professionals on sustainable practices and microplastics reduction throughout the textile chain. In addition, the project aims at raising awareness on the environmental impact of microplastics among various audiences, encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices and contributing to a more responsible and circular textile industry.
