Objectives

The project aims to reduce the drop-out rate in vocational training studies and encourage the enrolment of young people in construction and wood studies through innovative learning based on the solution of an environmental challenge launched from the productive environment that encourages motivation and student skills and adapts vocational training studies in construction and wood to the needs of the productive environment.

Activities

The project has a first mapping phase to analyse the factors that cause early school leaving and low enrolment in wood studies and the needs of companies in the sector in the future. And a second phase where the group of young people solve the challenge posed by the company in different learning phases (ideas exploration session, creativity session, prototyping session and communication and assessment session of the solution to the challenge).

Impact

- Increase enrolment in wood and construction studies. - Reduce school dropouts in wood and construction studies. - Understand the skills and knowledge that the wood construction sector will need in the future. - Develop innovative educational content based on cooperation with companies and solving challenges. - Promote sustainability and the circular economy in the construction sector. - Develop the transversal skills of vocational training students.
