Objectives

Through addressing specific challenges such as mental health, social isolation, substance use, and the negative impact of social media through a peer-mentoring approach, Catalyst partners aim to create a supportive environment that helps young people to overcome barriers their employment. Our objectives are to: *Train 8 young peer coaches each in 6 countries *Raise awareness about mental health and reduce stigma among young people in life transition *Engage 240 young people in peer coaching

Activities

Through WP2, we will develop 6-module peer-coaching programme, and we will deliver this to 8 young people (aged 25-30) in each country and support them to engage 5 younger peers (18-25) each in coaching activities, so help them to overcome their personal barriers to their transition to the labour market. In WP3, we will develop a toolkit of mental health resources for young people (18-25), and we will also include online module for youth workers to train them as mental health first responders.

Impact

In terms of project results, Catalyst will develop: *6 modules as part of the Peer Coaching Training Programme for young people aged 25 to 30. *Toolkit with mental health self-care resources for young people aged 18 to 25. *Online modules and resources in Mental Health First Aid for Youth Workers. In terms of outcomes, Catalyst aims to raise community awareness and engage stakeholders, to create supportive environment for young people facing mental health issues in their transition to work.
