Objectives

DIGITAL RURALSHIP aims to reduce the digital gap among rural youth, fostering their active participation through innovative tools such as the Youth Metaverse, gamification, and digital skills training. The project will strengthen youth work with innovative methodologies, train youth workers, and promote digital inclusion. Additionally, its results will be sustainable in the long term, aligning with European priorities for digital education and youth participation.

Activities

DIGITAL RURALSHIP will implement activities such as the creation of a youth participation space in the metaverse, activities within this environment, and the training of youth workers in these tools through the HOP course on Salto-Youth. A study on digital youth work in rural areas will be conducted, along with one youth mobility “Toolfair”, two virtual exchanges, and six multiplier events. Additionally, a communication and dissemination strategy will be developed.

Impact

DIGITAL RURALSHIP will generate tangible results such as the Youth Metaverse with its activities, a web dissemination platform, the HOP Online course on Salto-Youth, and a study on rural youth and digitalization. At an intangible level, it will strengthen youth participation, enhance the DigiComp and LifeComp competencies of young people and youth workers, and promote international cooperation, ensuring the long-term sustainability of its impact.
