▶Objectives
The project aims to understand how Agenda 2030 target 4.7 is implemented in Finland´s and Norway's folk high schools. The project supports the competence of the staff of folk high schools in promoting pedagogical practices.Through mapping current efforts and strengthening sustainability expertise, we will foster collaboration between Finland and Norway. Our findings will be shared through survey, study visits, webinars, a workshop and broad communication initiatives.
▶Activities
The project will conduct a study of SDG 4.7 implementation in folk high schools across Finland and Norway. We organize study visits between the countries to observe and learn from each other's practices. Three national and international webinars will facilitate knowledge sharing and discussion of findings. The project includes workshop at the FFHSA's 120th anniversary. Results will be actively communicated through various channels and events to reach steakholders in education and sustainability.
▶Impact
The project will significantly advance SDG 4.7 implementation in Norwegian and Finnish folk high schools through survey, study visits, workshops, and knowledge exchange. We will establish new sustainability education practices and strengthen collaboration between the countries' folk high school associations. The teachers of folk high schools adopt good pedagogical models in order to strengthen a sustainable operating culture. Our findings and methodologies will be widely communicated.
