Objectives

The objective of the project is to strengthen the sustainable development in the Arctic region in vocational education and training. We want to make our own sustainable development work to be more planned and goal-oriented and develope the personnel's sustainability skills and professional identity as builders of a sustainable future. We want to make sustainability communication more visible to staff, students and stakeholders.

Activities

Together with our partner, we map the sustainable development operations and the sustainable development competence of the personnel, taking into account our Arctic operating environment. With the help of trainings and workshops, we develop the personnel's sustainable development skills based on the real needs identified in the mapping. We create sustainable development training material for personnel. We also inform about our sustainable development work on our website.

Impact

Our sustainable development work is planned and goal-oriented, and our Arctic expertise and strengths are taken into account. The identity of the personnel as builders of a sustainable future has been strengthened. The vocational competence requirements of sustainable development are better taken into account in teaching. We communicate internally and externally about our sustainable development work, which has committed both personnel and partners to responsible work and a just transition.
