▶Objectives
Teach Peace has three general objectives: (1) Creating a basic peace education training programme that can be implemented in a wide variety of adult education and other educational contexts in Europe and beyond. (2) Improving adult educators' competences for teaching learners skills for resolving and avoiding conflicts. (3) Promoting peace as well as the civic engagement and participation that are essential to it.
▶Activities
We will implement the following main activities: - Researching adult educators' and trainers' needs regarding peace education for adults - Developing a basic peace education programme for adults - Creating tools that trainers can use to train adult educators in practices of promoting peace - Creating tools that adult educators without specialised peace training can use to teach learners skills for promoting peace - Disseminating information about the project, its results, and promoting peace
▶Impact
We will produce four project results: PR1: A report on adult educators' and trainers' views on the needs of peace education. PR2: A basic peace education training programme. PR3: A guide for trainers in the field of peace education for training adult educators using PR2. PR4: A guide for adult educators without specialised training for training adult learners using PR2. We expect these results to significantly increase the skills and engagement among target group for promoting peace.
