Objectives

The project addresses the urgency of environmental stewardship and forest preservation among threats from deforestation and climate change. We want to empower students, educators, and communities with the knowledge and skills to protect forests, promote sustainable use, highlight wood products' significance, encourage forestry careers, and foster environmental stewardship. The project involves students, educators, and forestry professionals from various European countries.

Activities

The project combines science, technology and the arts. It includes workshops, practical activities, educational trips, expert talks, and collaborative projects. The project aims to produce combined materials for environmental education and digital literacy, create climate data visualizations and documentaries and initiate small-scale forest research. We will build functional weather stations for climate studies and improve participants’ digital literacy and technical skills.

Impact

The concrete results we will produce: Educational tools and resources: creation of materials combining environmental education STEAM and digital literacy: development of digital outputs such as biodiversity maps,climate data visualizations and video documentaries Hands-on environmental projects The project will leave a lasting legacy of empowered individuals ready to address environmental and societal issues, fostering a sustainable and technology-driven future.
