Objectives

EmpowerAbility aims to equip individuals with Mental Health Disorders (MHD) with financial literacy skills to enhance their confidence and inclusion. It focuses on budgeting, safe banking, financial decision-making and protecting against financial risks, ensuring participants can navigate their financial lives independently. It also aims to upskill trainers to create inclusive learning environments, contributing to lifelong learning and aligning with the EU’s goals of inclusivity and empowerment

Activities

Research, Design and Development involves focus groups to gather insights, and the co-development of 6 training modules and a Trainer’s Manual for individuals with MHD, focusing on financial literacy. Pilot Training includes workshops where participants will develop skills with ongoing support from trainers. Project Management, Dissemination, and Sustainability emphasizes dissemination through final events and an OER platform, ensuring free access to materials and long-term impact strategies.
