โ–ถObjectives

We want to work with local communities around food in urban places and change the behavior towards marginalized people. We aim to raise the awareness about necessary changes in the way we are feeding ourselves, by promoting local and seasonal products and short production lines, and reusing wasted food. Showcasing examples of an urban food system centered on the needs of populations and pedagogical methods to involve them in its design should trigger positive systemic changes at local level.

โ–ถActivities

Our project embraces all the dimensions of food. With the help of social researchers and a commons-based approach, we will design community-based action learning activities. They will be cocreated both with our target groups and the final beneficiaries of the actions (people suffering from food insecurity: with low income, homeless, migrants...). We want to enhance at the neighborhood level the development of value chains in food production and distribution based on solidarity and cooperation.

โ–ถImpact

The results we expect are: - Achievement of a participative research action on food and social inclusion, with a transnational and multicultural approach; - Production of a guide of good practices to improve the participation of excluded groups with a commons-based approach; - Development of a collaborative knowledge base around food related to social and ecological transitions, accessible online and managed by a community of practitioners working in the field of Social and Solidarity Economy.
