▶Objectives
The project seeks to empower adult professionals in local governments by providing training and fostering knowledge exchange between the cities of Galati (Romania) and Prague (Czech Republic). By drawing on the experiences of French cities, the project will help these cities develop sustainable territorial food strategies. It will equip municipal staff with practical tools, methodologies, and action plans to enhance local food governance and engage stakeholders in transforming local food systems
▶Activities
The project includes study visits, training sessions, and stakeholder workshops in both cities, along with an inaugural field visit to French municipalities for insights. Activities will cover food system assessments, participatory action plan design, peer learning exchanges, and visits to innovative local projects. A training kit and project video will be produced to ensure long-term impact and knowledge dissemination, supporting sustainability and broad access to the project's outcomes.
▶Impact
Each city will develop a participatory food system assessment, a stakeholder mapping, and an action plan for food policy implementation. The training kit and video will serve as replicable resources for other municipalities. The project will strengthen municipal capacities, transnational cooperation, and long-term engagement in sustainable food governance, laying the foundation for future collaborations.
