▶Objectives
This project tackles the underrepresentation of women in music by fostering cross-border collaboration. It offers practical support through mentorship, skill-building workshops, and opportunities for joint artistic projects. Empowering female musicians with the necessary tools, it seeks to break down barriers and promote gender equality. With women making up just 21.8% of artists in the past decade (Music Industry Report, 2020), this initiative is key to expanding their presence in the industry.
▶Activities
- Project Management: Four meetings to formalize the partnership and assess progress. - Training for trainers : A 3-day session to enhance and exchange skills across countries. - Music Camp: A week-long residency for six women musicians to collaborate on creation and performance. - Workshops & Final Concert: Showcasing participants’ work and demonstrating the project's impact on professionals. - Communication Strategy: Includes a website and a documentary to highlight the project's impact.
▶Impact
Expected outcomes include increased professional competence for both French and Serbian trainers, successful concerts showcasing the project's impact, enhanced career sustainability for participating musicians, and future collaborative projects between the two organizations. By the end of the project, the project coordinator, musicians, and trainers will have gained new skills, professional opportunities, and a strong network, ensuring long-term impact.
