Objectives

The training program R-Lab pursues 3 objectives: - Facilitate the access of refugees/newcomers to non-formal education via artistic methodologies, designed for the work with vulnerable groups in multicultural contexts. - Stimulate an interdisciplinary exchange between social work and art, - Develop an intercultural exchange about artistic methods used in the work with refugees between four institutions, representing three European countries (France, Greece and Germany)

Activities

R-Lab offers 3 workshop on artistic methodologies for working with vulnerable groups, held in Athens, Paris and Berlin, including the following components: - Workshops on artistic methods for artists and social workers - Interactive sharing sessions where the methodologies are presented to local stakeholders - Workshops for refugees and local communities to co-create an artistic performance or piece - A showcase of the artistic works developed by refugees and local communities

Impact

- 9 artistic methodologies for the work with vulnerable groups, developed by an European partnership and tested with local communities, compiled into handouts, published on each partner organisation’s website. - Training of 146 professional social workers, educators and artists in each training course. - Offering free workshops to 60 people (refugees and local communities) living next to the service centres in each training course.
