Objectives

TRY aims to promote rugby as an educational tool to enhance pupils’ social, cognitive, physical, and civic skills, particularly for those with fewer opportunities. It seeks to empower teachers by providing resources and training, ensuring they can integrate rugby into their curriculum. It will measure the impact of rugby-based education, facilitate knowledge-sharing and promote long-term sustainability by engaging key stakeholders and ensuring broad dissemination of the project's outcomes.

Activities

10 activities are implemented in five phases: (1) Coordination and project management, ensuring proper administration and monitoring; (2) Research and development of a pedagogical kit through literature reviews and stakeholder consultations; (3) Pilot tests in selected schools in France and Romania, training teachers and implementing rugby sessions; (4) Evaluation and adaptation of the kit based on collected data; (5) Dissemination and legacy efforts to ensure the project's long-term impact.

Impact

Expected results include the creation of a pedagogical rugby kit, training resources for teachers and the implementation of pilot tests in schools. TRY will provide measurable insights into the educational benefits of rugby, documented in a scientific publication and a best practices guide. It will strengthen collaboration between schools and rugby institutions, ensuring free access to all project deliverables and fostering the sustainability of educational rugby beyond the E+ funding period.
