Objectives

The idea behind the projetct FROM TRASH TO FLASH is to raise awareness and educate European teenagers about the impact of fast fashion on the planet and on the people working in production chains. This project offers a hands-on, civic-minded experience aimed at promoting the upcycling of second-hand clothing. It seeks to encourage responsible consumption, develop technical and artistic skills, and strengthen intercultural cohesion and civic engagement.

Activities

It offers an innovative pedagogical approach that integrates sewing workshops, expert interventions, and public events. It fosters autonomy, creativity, and collaborative work. Its intercultural dimension, with the participation of European schools, enriches the experience and prepares students to become responsible citizens on an international scale.

Impact

At the end of their two-year collaboration, these young Europeans will come together in Paris in May 2027 for the closing event: a fashion show where participants from Paris and Palermo will showcase their upcycled creations. This event will serve as a celebration of their commitment to responsible fashion.
