▶Objectives
Pictomix seeks to enhance access to language learning and literacy for low-literacy adults, migrants, and individuals with disabilities by developing visually-driven, multimodal, and accessible educational resources. The project aligns with Erasmus+ priorities by fostering inclusion, promoting digital transformation, and ensuring accessibility in education through innovative and adaptable learning tools tailored to diverse needs.
▶Activities
The project involves co-creation, experimentation, training, and dissemination activities. It will develop pictogram-based storytelling resources, incorporating multimodal features such as sign language and audio. Educators and mediators will receive training on structured visual learning pathways. The project will be tested in various educational settings, including adult education centers, community organizations, prisons, and museums, before being widely shared through multiplier events.
▶Impact
Pictomix will produce innovative learning tools that facilitate language acquisition and literacy for diverse learners. Educators will be equipped with inclusive teaching methodologies, enabling them to support non-readers and multilingual learners. The project will foster digital and creative skills through interactive storytelling while promoting universal accessibility by integrating Easy-to-Read (FALC), sign language, and audio-enhanced materials into its educational resources.
