Objectives

TED project brings 4 partners to cooperate in building a common TRAINING PROGRAM on ENVIRONMENTAL DEMOCRACY through the application of deliberative democracy instruments (STUDENT ASSEMBLY), which will be included in the curricula of each academic partner and will result in a JOINT CERTIFICATION with a mandatory period of mobility for students to complete their path towards environmental democracy, allowing insights of different ecosystems' unique needs and natural resources.

Activities

TED will codevelop: 1/ a teaching block: - COMMON COURSES on basics of European environmental law and sustainable development goals as well as instruments for democratic participation under EU legislation. - SPECIALISATION COURSES on typical European environmental ecosystems (mountain, maritime, urban) and their challenges. 2/ seminars and coaching activities to stimulate active discussions on concrete cases of everyday life (STUDENTS ASSEMBLY) 3/ a wide dissemination campaign

Impact

TED will cocreate and test a new teaching method, at first on a small scale, allowing partners to create a solid outcome thanks to a better management and easier implementation of TED METHODOLOGY. However, one of the long-term objectives is to invite other universities to join TED’s TRAINING PROGRAM, after the funding period and on a permanent basis. The partners will thus try to promote and disseminate their testing results and increase the number of participants (teachers and students)
