▶Objectives
The LIFE project is transforming design education for a sustainable world by experimenting with pedagogical methodologies centered on attention to living things. Its iterative approaches provide a field of observation for the evolution of educational practices. At the crossroads of design, craftsmanship, science and technology, it aims to move design education towards interdisciplinary practices adapted to international environmental challenges.
▶Activities
LIFE is structured around three complementary and parallel programs: immersive intercultural workshops exploring biomaterials, inclusivity, and ecosystems; a teacher training program based on workshop analysis to develop shared pedagogical practices; and an interdisciplinary research program linking popular education, life-centered design, and interculturality, with a traveling exhibition and open-source platform to disseminate results.
▶Impact
Immersive Workshops: Experimentation with life-centered design methodologies, local impact, and research publications. Teacher Training: Development of interdisciplinary and innovative pedagogical tools. Research Program: Conferences and publications to structure a European network. Traveling Exhibition: Dissemination of results at major design events. LIFE Platform: Open-access resources, publications, and methodologies.
