Objectives

The EMBRACE project aims to achieve the following key objectives across EUniWell universities: • Enhancing mental health literacy • Improving accessibility and responsiveness of well-being support services in order to meet diverse student needs • Strengthening institutional capacity to address mental health challenges effectively • Promoting international cooperation between universities for a unified approach to supporting student well-being

Activities

The following activities will be implemented (but not limited to): Teaching and training: Teaching modules tailored for academics (Activity 2.5), students (2.6), refugee students (4.1) A mentoring scheme to support doctoral students and early-career researchers (3.3) Institutional transformation: Equipping decision-makers with data-driven insights to refine mental health support services (Activities 2.4 and 2.7) Common format for Mental Health Weeks (2.2)

Impact

Expected outcomes include: practical and adaptable guidelines, tools, and Open Educational Resources to support universities in integrating mental health awareness into their institutions and thus fostering a culture of well-being better-equipped student support services and staff training programmes. By fostering international collaboration, the project aims to create a sustainable, unified approach to student and staff well-being and mental health across European universities.
