▶Objectives
WOTO aims to empower young people and youth workers to identify, understand and take collective action against racist and sexist discrimination. It creates inclusive spaces, strengthens civic engagement through art and raises awareness among public decision-makers to adopt more inclusive policies. The project promotes an intersectional approach and encourages the participation of young people who have very low access to European opportunities.
▶Activities
WOTO promotes non-formal education formats and workshops for experimenting with interactive and collaborative educational tools to understand and combat intersectional discrimination, artistic co-creation activities, transnational exchanges and meetings between young people, professionals and decision-makers. It develops an inclusive and participatory methodology, adapted to local realities, to encourage commitment and social transformation against discrimination.
▶Impact
The expected results include an intersectional educational toolkit (tools and methodologies), a transnational artistic exhibition kit (visual and sound creations), a guide to concrete actions for local decision-makers, an inspirational guide “Art, culture and civic engagement”, a mini-guide on the history of discrimination in Europe, several inspiring events and peer-to-peer workshops promoting the transmission of inclusive practices.
