We aim to create a set of games and training resources to teach youth aged 16-25 about the environment and climate change, and how they can act in the EU, through the scope of GreenComp areas and competencies. The games will take the form of a video game and of an educational live role-playing game (LARP).
βΆActivities
Results: - A guide on green competencies for youth - 12 activity sheets on green competencies for youth (one for each green competence) - A video game - A LARP scenario with guidelines for implementation in multiple settings - A manual for educators on how to implement game-based activities to teach green competencies - Testing activities involving at least 400 youngsters and feedback from 50 educators and specialists - A project website with 16 OER
βΆImpact
This project aims to enhance youth's green competencies and environmental action skills, while supporting educators in teaching these competencies through game-based learning. Youth organizations will gain resources and training to implement inclusive environmental programs, fostering civic participation and critical thinking among youth. The focus is on increasing knowledge, supporting youth-led initiatives, and promoting inclusivity, particularly for marginalized groups.
