Objectives

-Strengthen Higher Education ecosystem’s capacity to accompany the green transition of the tourism sector in coastal areas -Develop and promote delivery of micro-credentials in the field -Accompany the current/future workforce in the tourism sector through the process of skilling, up-skilling and re-skilling needed to accomplish the green transition strategy -Foster transnational and academic-private cooperation to promote sustainable tourism

Activities

-Preparation activities to set action plans -Needs’ assessment on Green Skills for Sustainable Tourism -Matching needs with training areas/competences of GreenComp -Co-creation events with tourism operators and other stakeholders to develop micro-credentials -Developing/maintaining the Green Tour Digital Hub -Delivery the training to 500 students/operators in the field of tourism -Translating to boost exploitability -Valorisation activities to set the stage for a future Green Tour Network

-Study on Green Skills for Sustainable Tourism in coastal areas and HE role -Green Skills for Sustainable Tourism Programme in line with GreenComp and tailored to tourism practitioners’ needs -Multilanguage Digital Hub for sharing results, delivering micro-credentials and foster collaboration -Handbook for Academic Staff & Practitioners + Policy Roadmap OUTCOMES upskilling of students and practitioners; HE system better equipped to build green skills and deliver micro-credentials
