Objectives

We want to create a new structured treatment programme that will be aimed at helping adolescents and young adults to train their social skills, promote their mental health and combat xenophobia. The programme will be based on psychodrama and mythology and will also promote cultural heritage and connection to community. The programme will be short (10 sessions) and usable in diverse contexts. We also spread the programme and make adolescent and young adult group treatment more widely available.

Activities

Project will consist of: -Capacity building exchanges between partner countries (3 exchanges with 12 participants) -Creation of the Mythos programme and manual -Creation of the supplementary materials: Book of myths and associative cards "Folklore" -Adolescent and young adult Mythos groups (2 groups of at least 6 for each country, 60 participants in total) -Education of experts (45 per country, 225 in total) -Evaluation and revision of the programme -Promotion and dissemination

Impact

We expect that adolescents that go through the Mythos programme will have more developed social skills, more psychological resources for the challenges that they are facing through their development and more tolerant views, as well as a greater interest in their cultural heritage. We also expect that more experts, especially young experts, will gain new skills and tools for working with youth to make Mythos treatment more available for those who need it and create a more caring and community.
