▶Objectives
The project aims to advance sustainability in event planning by equipping organizers and the general public with practical tools to reduce events environmental impact. It will consolidate existing knowledge into structured, accessible resources, including the Events Go Green app and the training manual. By promoting transparency, preventing greenwashing and enabling impact measurement, the project fosters long-term adoption of sustainable practices across diverse event sectors in Europe.
▶Activities
The project begins with compiling a database to collect and structure sustainability knowledge. It will develop the Events Go Green app and training manual, integrating a green service provider database and impact measurement tools. A testing phase will involve educators and adults who organize events to refine outputs. The project will then launch a communication campaign, including social media outreach and conferences, to ensure widespread adoption of sustainable practices in event planning.
▶Impact
The project will result in 4,000 app users during the project and 20,000 within five years, with 80% adopting at least one sustainable measure, impacting 3,200 events (16,000 in five years). The training manual and EPALE platform will provide sustainability knowledge to 8,800 people (32,000 in five years). The dissemination strategy will reach 2,894,800 people, ensuring long-term adoption of green event practices across Europe.
