▶Objectives
The project seeks to empower children to voice their opinions, likes, dislikes, and ideas for improving their neighbourhoods and cities, promoting civic engagement and participation in democratic society.The objectives of the project include fostering children's global citizenship, participatory skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. To achieve the creation of connections between international actors in informal education for experience exchange and capacity development.
▶Activities
Deliver design-driven and problem-based learning techniques to enhance children's 21st-century capabilities through a series of workshops delivered to at least 100 students in both countries. Workshops will implement creative, innovative, participatory learning environments that promote common values, civic engagement, and real-life problem-solving skills among children. A transnational learning event connecting children, decision makers, families and municipalities provide exposure.
▶Impact
This project will; Prepare children for the future as active citizens who can participate in decisions that affect their lives; Connect schools and provide exposure to different solutions and methodologies, fostering behavioral change in schools and communities. The partnership between Green-Schools and çocukistanbul will allow for the exchange of knowledge and collaboration to enhance their work and methodologies, ultimately benefiting children, families, and teachers in both Ireland and Turkey
