Objectives

The VERITAS-AI project aims to enhance AI literacy, misinformation detection, and fact-checking skills in higher education. It seeks to integrate AI-based verification methodologies into university curricula and provide digital learning resources. The project will establish European Digital Credentials for Learning (EDC), part of the Europass framework, to formally recognize AI verification competencies.

Activities

The project will develop a structured AI literacy curriculum, run interactive workshops, implement real-world misinformation case studies, and create digital learning modules. It will also establish a Europass-compliant certification system and ensure accessibility through Open Educational Resources (OER) and digital platforms (Microsoft Teams and Moodle, etc.).

Impact

Expected results include a 5-module curriculum, AI validation training, pilot testing in six countries, 100 certified participants, 12 misinformation case studies, and a misinformation analysis guide. The project will reach at least 300 students, integrate AI literacy into university programs, and establish long-term collaboration between academia and industry.
