▶Objectives
The general objective of the project is to strengthen sustainable local development initiatives across rural and remote areas of Europe by promoting the work of Local Development Agencies (LDAs) and professionals at the EU level, recognizing their essential impact on local communities, and ensuring that development actions and measures directly address the social, environmental, and specific needs of each territory, ultimately contributing to balanced and inclusive growth across the EU.
▶Activities
The main activities of the LDA-NEXT project are: 1) Project Management; 2) EU Local Development: Mapping & Best Practices; 3) Creation of the EU LDA Roadmap for the transfer of innovative solutions and enhancement of territorial impact; 4) Engaging Local Public Authorities for the Recognition of the Local Development Agencies; 5) Dissemination & Exploitation of results.
▶Impact
The results are: i)Competency Framework & Roadmap to identify best practices, organizational models and tools for the profession. ii)EU LDA Network to enhance collaboration, knowledge sharing, sector sustainability and impact. iii)Dialogue between public authorities and LDAs to recognize LDAs' impact on the territory, particularly in underdeveloped areas. iv)Transfer and Sustainability Plan & Memorandum of Cooperation to recognize the need for the professional status of local development actors.
