Objectives

Open Door addresses the lack of resources for theatre educators' professional development and recognition. The specific objectives are: Increase the professional competencies of theatre educators with engagement methods tailored to evolving generational needs. Develop new theatre education strategies that meet the needs of young people, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Improve the quality of work of participating organisations through the transnational exchange of practices.

Activities

The objectives will be achieved through the following core activities: 1 Mutual learning and observation, where partners observe each other’s engagement practices and participate in joint and creative reflection sessions. 2 Audience analysis, in order to understand needs, interests and behaviours of the young audiences. 3 Final workshops where the insights from the previous activities will culminate in the definition of shared educational outputs for theatre educators.

Impact

The project will produce shared educational outputs containing new tools and methodologies for theatre educators to better engage young audiences. This will be accompanied by a final report on youth audience analysis, offering practical insights to refine educational practices based on real needs. We expect improved professional skills for educators, greater international collaboration skills between the partners and the establishment of a solid foundation for future transnational projects.
