▶Objectives
RENATURE aims to improve the VET training offer on environmental sustainability through a toolkit of open educational resources (OER) aimed at promoting original 'green skills' among learners in the field of Nature-based Solutions. These eco-sustainable and cost-effective solutions hold significant potential in promoting youth self-entrepreneurship. The partnership primarily consists of highly qualified universities and research centers specializing in this field, representing six EU Countries.
▶Activities
The project will develop an original training program, aimed at presenting, for the first time, Nature-based Solutions in a holistic, organized, exhaustive and up-to-date state-of-the-art way. This will consist of introductory and in-depth learning modules, presented as self-consistent digital OER packages and accompanied by an application for interactive exercises. The products will be offered under open-source licenses, already tested and ready to be used.
▶Impact
The goal is to promote a more inclusive and equitable access for young people to the world of green jobs by providing fundamental and applied skills on Nature-based Solutions. These solutions are often implemented through co-governance actions of common goods, requiring the direct involvement of citizens who are aware of their benefits and capable of managing their functions independently. This also enables them to specialize in dedicated green professions.
