OnBoard supports the EU mission to improve the competitiveness of SMEs based on the current labor market. This is done by bridging the gap between professional training and SME leaders and preparing professionals with HR backgrounds who can effectively support a generation of “agile” leaders who care about every aspect of integrating new employees to achieve maximum productivity and improved business well-being.

OnBoard designs, pilots and delivers the OnBoard curriculum by bridging the gap between VET and small businesses. SMEs will be able to unlock the potential of their companies and increase their ability to engage their employees. The partnership will implement a full range of activities, including developing training resources and digital tools, organizing workshops and webinars, and disseminating project results through targeted channels.

In addition to a targeted transnational research report and through the training curriculum and related MOOC, HR and management graduates will gain new professional skills in HRM. In addition, the project provides: an Open Manual for VET providers, fostering employment in the sector and high specialization; and an innovative Digital Toolkit for SMEs to assess and monitor business readiness for onboarding practices.
