Objectives

ThruLens promotes social inclusion for adults with intellectual disabilities (PIDs) through outdoor photography. The specific objectives (SOs) are: SO1 Enhance skills of educators working with (PIDs), including outdoor and image education. SO2 Foster social inclusion of PIDs via photography workshops. SO3 Enable self-expression and empowerment through photography. SO4 Raise community awareness on inclusion. SO5 Encourage civic engagement by involving PIDs in community photography projects.

Activities

The activities that will be implemented to achieve project results will be: 1.Development of training modules 2. Photo Outdoor actions and Compilation of outdoor photographs 3. Photo exhibition The training mobility in Spain will upskill educators by equipping them with the skills to use photography as a tool for empowering adults with intellectual disabilities. Dissemination activities at the national and EU levels (mainly via EPALE) will expand our audience and support results transfer.

Impact

ThruLens will achieve the following results: R1 - Toolkit on outdoor photography methodology for integrating naturalistic photography into educational programs for adults with ID and outdoor education settings. R2 - Transnational training course for educators working with adults with ID, promoting inclusive outdoor activities, or active in image education. R3 - Photography exhibition events showcasing the creative work of adults with ID and the project methodology to a wide audience.
