Objectives

The project aims to offer partner organisations and adult learners & trainers how to promote local cultural heritage using AI and AR. We aim to exchange experiences on: 1) innovative AI and AR tools; 2) quality of adult learning; 3) accessibility of local cultural and storical heritage with the involvement of disadvantaged adults. Our goal is to make inhabitants protagonists in the valorisation of the territory, preserving histories and counteracting urban decay.

Activities

Our project will be complited with following activities: 1) Training for adult participants in Greece on AI and AR instruments for the promotion of local cultural heritage; 2) Research and mapping of content (facts, events, characters, places) for the development of AI algorithms; 3) Creation of the platform and avatars for ‘Chats with a historical character’, with final testing in Altea, Spain; 4) Official opening and final conference in Molfetta, Italy.

Impact

The expected results are: 1) Development of a methodology and its application in a training course for adults on the use of AI to promote the cultural heritage of Molfetta and Altea. Participants will create and train an AI algorithm to bring historical characters to life and interact with them via smartphone. 3) The creation of an interactive tour that allows citizens and visitors to discover the history and culture of the place, while learning how to use the latest AI and AR technologies.
