Objectives

The project aims at imporving the psychophysical and cognitive well-being of people with neurodegenerative diseases. It promotes social inclusion by reducing isolation and ensuring equal access to culture. It promotes collaboration between the public and private sectors in the arts, museums and health care by fostering active ageing. Finally, it contributes to cultural valorisation, non-formal education, intercultural dialogue and audience development.

Activities

The project envisages contemporary dance workshops with a final event for people with neurodegenerative diseases, people at risk of social isolation and other stakeholders. Further planned activities are guided tours and cultural learning sessions, as well as the documentation and sharing activity of the project phases through media and social networks.

Impact

The project is expected to bring about an improvement in psychophysical and cognitive well-being with an increase in social interaction. The project will promote inclusive access to culture, strengthening the connection between art and health. It will also create a replicable innovative model, raising awareness in communities and institutions about the importance of dance for active ageing.
