RURAL CONNECT aims to empower rural TLs to foster processes of sustainable local development based on cross-community engagement. Through the definition of a replicable learning and training model, the project wants to equip TLs with key competences to attract and manage newcomers, particularly digital nomads, and promote intergenerational civic engagement and community sustainable development of rural territories, with possible creation of healthy opportunities for their repopulation.

In addition to Management Communication and Dissemination, RURAL CONNECT is: 1 A TOOLKIT for rural TLs, with practical tools, best practices and strategies to foster territorial revitalization actions in rural areas,based on intergenerational cross-community engagement with digital nomads 2 A TRAINING PROGRAM featuring a 3-day residential workshop aimed at rural TLs to train them how to use the toolkit resource, followed by pilot testing to experiment its application in real-world scenarios
▶Impact
By developing a toolkit and a training program the project aims to define a replicable and inclusive EU learning model to empower TLs to manage rural development processes, integrating digital nomads sustainably. It addresses the challenges of rural depopulation and enhances local resilience, contributing directly to the EU’s priorities for rural sustainability. The scalable approach provides a multiplicative effect, ensuring long-term benefits for rural and remote areas across EU.
