โ–ถObjectives

The DTC4EU project aims to improve the quality and accessibility of mental health services in Europe by developing an innovative peer-led accreditation system for Democratic Therapeutic Communities (DTCs). Through capacity-building programs, a digital platform, and policy advocacy, the project will empower mental health professionals, social facilitators, and experts by experience to co-govern and enhance community-based mental health services, fostering social inclusion and sustainability.

The project will implement five key activities to establish a peer-led accreditation system for DTCs. These include: A1: Capacity building through training modules for mental health professionals and social facilitators. A2: Pilot testing of the accreditation system across partner countries. A3: Development of a digital platform to ensure accessibility and knowledge-sharing. A4: Policy advocacy to institutionalize accreditation. A5:Evaluation and impact assessment to refine and sustain the model

โ–ถImpact

The project will deliver tangible and sustainable results through peer-led accreditation: - Accreditation of at least 10 DTCs across Europe through a pilot peer-to-peer evaluation system. - 50+ mental health professionals and facilitators trained and certified as Certified Peer Accreditation Experts. - Development of an interactive digital platform to support training and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders. - Two transnational policy dialogues and a final policy recommendation report.
