▶Objectives
The Digital Parents project aims to equip educational organizations with tools and resources to support parents in guiding their children through the onlife world. It strengthens educators' competencies in managing digital transition, engaging parents in the educational process, raising awareness of digital challenges impacting children and youth development, and promoting intergenerational learning between children, adolescents, and parents.
▶Activities
After conducting desk research, the partnership develops guidelines for parent engagement and OERs (Open Educational Resources) for use in an Urban Game on media education. A transnational conference is organized to share recommendations with policymakers and stakeholders, while national multiplier events raise awareness of the importance of supporting adults in bridging the intergenerational gap in media literacy. This helps uphold the values of digital transition in a long-lasting way.
▶Impact
The promotion of media education in an onlife and intergenerational perspective and with an intersectional and children rights based approach innovates the youth and education sector. The organisations effort toward digital transition in the education sector is supported by higher competences of Youth workers and parents and new findings and tools: a Desk research, a Guidelines document, a Digital manual on Urban Game about Media Education, OERs and recommendations to be shared at the EU level.
