The project DIVA aims at making international volunteering more inclusive, developing new tools and methods to improve the accessibility of marginalised youth to international volunteering activities. By providing organisations and local leaders with a self assessment scheme and educational modules to evaluate, improve and implement inclusive practices, the project will enhance the quality, in terms of inclusion of the activities developed by the youth volunteering organisations.

DIVA- Diversity and Inclusion in Volunteering Activities foresees the development of different results through research, training and testing of inclusive tools and methodologies. Activities will include two International Training Courses, Local Trainings, Tools testing and Evaluation phases to fine-tune the deliverables. Regular physical and online partner meetings, plus several dissemination events, will strengthen collaboration and maximise impact across international volunteering networks.

The project will include the creation of a Self Assessment Scheme and a Toolbox of Educational Modules to support organisations in creating inclusive volunteering activities. An online platform will provide open access to these resources.Expected outcomes include: improved capacity among organisations and coordinators, increased participation of marginalised youth, and stronger collaboration in the IVS sector. In the long term, the project will promote systemic change in inclusive youth work.
