▶Objectives
- Create a virtual simulator that helps hospitality students develop professional vocabulary and fluency in foreign languages. - Address the shortcoming in foreign language learning with regard to the lack of time dedicated to speaking practice in standard lessons. - Improve the decision-making, problem-solving and intercultural communication skills of VET students. - Ensure that all materials are applicable to general foreign language learning and adaptable to diverse educational needs.
▶Activities
- Creation of Scenario Library consisting of real-life scenarios common in the hospitality field, prompts and worksheets for each scenario. - Development of the tool consisting of 3 blocks: front desk officer, room attendant, waiter. - Testing and quality assurance. - Creation of a user guide. - 3 international meetings. - 1 training on how to use the tool. - Translation/adaptation of materils in EN, LV, PL, DE. - Piloting of the tool with a big number of students. - Final conferences.

- Interactive hospitality industry simulator with 90 authentic scenarios, - Available in 4 languages and divided into 3 thematic blocks: front desk officer, room attendant, waiter. - Adaptable to different educational levels and individual learning needs. - Improved VET students' foreign language skills, especially speaking skills and professional vocabulary. - Improved soft skills, such as intercultural communication and problem-solving skills of the involved students. - A detailed user guide.
