Objectives

The LANDS project provides practitioners and public authorities with practical knowledge on multi-benefit NbS suitable for water scarce areas. It promotes the integration of NbS into urban planning through targeted capacity building, enabling informed selection of the most effective solutions. By training NbS ambassadors in Malta, Greece, Italy and Spain, LANDS ensures a cascading impact through training providers, promoting greener and more water resilient cities.

Impact

LANDS equips 12 NbS Ambassadors to act as key multipliers among public authorities, engaging 60 practitioners in local forums to increasing impact. These Ambassadors will facilitate effective cross-sectoral and cross-border dialogue, and foster improved governance and technical skills. LANDS scales up and adapts the URWAN NbS catalogue into a VET toolkit, facilitating access to smart NbS and multiplying the upskilling potential to adopt them for water resilient and climate smart cities.
